Keegan and Kayla Hardman are busy raising 3 children, Annie, Molly and Luke, along with two overly friendly black labs, Missy and Dot. Both grew up in Southeast Boise and graduated from Timberline High School and Boise State University. When they aren’t running their kids to sports practices or games Keegan and Kayla love enjoying their Boise community. Keegan enjoys hunting, fishing, football and being outdoors. Kayla loves a good book, spending time outdoors and camping. There is always some kind of sport being played or watched at the Hardman house. If life wasn’t busy enough raising 3 kids Kayla had a great idea to start a back to the basic’s daycare. That is where the journey of The Barnyard Daycare and Learning Center began.

Dave and Liane Lemons have been involved in the Finance industry for over 35 years. Dave worked at Micron Technology as an accounting manager and business unit controller for 30 years and then Scentsy for 4 years before retiring from corporate life in March 23.Liane worked at various jobs over the last 35 years, starting as an auditor with the IRS, running her own CPA practice, working for Ballet Idaho and Delta Dental of Idaho, and for 14 years at Scentsy, Inc. as a Senior Accounting Manager and Home office Controller before joining Dave in retiring from corporate life. Both Dave and Liane grew up in the small town of Fairfield, ID graduating from Camas County High School, then attended and graduated from Boise State University. They raised their 3 children, Kayla, Kara, and Matthew in Southeast Boise. They enjoy golfing and spending time at their family cabin.

Our Management Team

Mikky - Executive Director 

Mikky Burchard has devoted more than 15 years to working in education with young children and their families. From 2009-2017, Mikky worked as a lead teacher in a classroom setting primarily working with infants and children up to 2 years in age. After that, Mikky was the Assistant Director at River Academy in the Boise/Eagle area. She is currently working on getting her degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Oregon University. Mikky is married to her husband, Spencer, and together they have one daughter, Elsie. Mikky enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, being outdoors, and taking their dogs, Tessie and Oakley on adventures.

Kelli Richards has been working in early childhood education for 8 years. She spent much of her time as a lead teacher to toddlers and as a preschool lead. She has been a director for 3 years and is excited to be a part of the Barnyard Family. Kelli received her bachelor’s degree in writing from Boise State University in writing in 2019 and is currently working on her master’s degree in early and special education. Go Broncos. She is married to her husband, Justin and they have 2 children, Cece and Lincoln and 2 yorkies, Dale and Brennan. Kelli enjoys going on family walks and game nights.

Diana Guerra is in her 15^th year teaching at The Barnyard Daycare and Learning Center on Park, previously Parkside School. Her philosophy is that each child is unique, and each child learns in different ways. As a previous teacher for 13 years and now as director, she will help your little learner discover his/ her individuality and work alongside them to maximize it. Diana believes in hands-on experiences, learning creatively and learning through play. She went to Boise State University where she received my degree in Early Childhood Education. Diana lives in Meridian with her husband, Manuel and their daughter, Dayzee. In her spare time, she loves to surround herself with friends and family, take nature walks, read, travel, cook and meet new people.

Kim- Assistant Director at Millbrook

Kim Duty is an Assistant Directors at Millbrook. She has been working with children for 23 years and has been at The Barnyard since 2021. Kim has worked with babies all the way up to school aged children. She loves to watch them grow, reach milestones, and overcome challenges. Kim grew up in Missouri and has lived in more than 10 states throughout her adult life. In her free time, Kim enjoys making quilts and hanging out with her family and friends.
